Gut Performance™ is a 100% natural concentrated whole food that is scientifically developed.
It stands alone from other products on the market for several reasons. It doesn’t contain any preservatives, colours and flavours. Most importantly – it’s scientifically developed and derived from a combination of active ingredients and nutritious whole foods to support your gut health.
Active Ingredients in & Properties of Gut Performance™
Antioxidants & Nutrients
Gut Performance™ is a powerhouse of micronutrients and antioxidants – polyphenols and flavonoids – that are obtained from whole foods. They work directly with your body to repair, restore and improve your gut health. It is Non-GMO and contains no artificial colours, flavours preservatives or chemical stimulates. With Gut Performance™, you know it’s safe. Just look at the ingredients list – there are less than 10 ingredients, and they are stated in plain English. You do not need a health science degree to understand what you are consuming. At Every Body Every Day®, we believe being transparent about what goes into our product and into your body.
Fibre
Gut Performance™ is high in soluble fibre, insoluble fibre and resistant starch. All are needed for optimal gut health as recommended by Monash University.
Soluble fibre dissolves, creating a gel-like substance that regulates the rate of digestion and improves blood glucose control. Insoluble fibre promotes regularity, supports insulin sensitivity and sweeps the colon of excess hormonal metabolites – which cause imbalances. Resistant starch passes through the digestive tract unchanged. This type of starch helps feed your good bacteria and reduces compounds known to cause inflammation (Nugent, 2005).
Gluten & Allergen Free
Gut Performance™ is gluten and allergen-free. This is essential for any gut health product because gluten and other allergy provoking ingredients cause inflammation. Many gut symptoms and subsequent systemic manifestations such as skin rashes and brain fog can be due to inflammatory responses in the gut (Hakansson & Molin, 2011).
FODMAP
Not only is our unique formulation gluten-free, but it is a low FODMAP food. FODMAPS are short-chain carbohydrates and stimulate symptoms such as gas, bloating, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea and constipation. Low FODMAP diets and foods have been clinically proven to provide remarkable benefits for many people with common digestive disorders, in particular, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) (Barret & Gibson, 2012).
pH
The pH of Gut Performance™ is specifically designed to be gentle to the stomach, using natural citric acid and bicarbonate. These are commonly used in over-the-counter antacids. It has been formulated this way to not interfere with people who have low stomach acid while successfully reducing the acid level of people with high stomach acid. You need the correct balance of gastric acid to enable your body to break down proteins, activate essential enzymes and hormones and protect against bacterial overgrowth in the gut.
Low Glycaemic Index
Gut Performance™ lowers the GI of foods. This means it slows the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates consumed, causing a lower and slower rise in blood sugar levels.
Nutritious Whole Foods used in Gut Performance™
Sugarcane
While sugar is known to cause significant health problems, sugarcane itself is recognized as healthy. It has been used as a traditional medicine in Asia for thousands of years. What is unique to Gut Performance™ is the extraction process developed by scientists to remove the sugar. There is no heat or chemicals used in the extraction process. Once the sugar has been removed, only the functional compounds are left behind. The sugarcane stem is a powerhouse of micronutrients and antioxidants. It is an invaluable source of fibre, making it a powerful prebiotic, which feeds your beneficial gut bacteria.
Red Sorghum
This ancient gut food is a traditional non-GMO gluten-free grain is easy to digest and tolerate. It is known to be high in resistant starch that feeds our gut microbiome. It also contains a rich range of antioxidants that mitigate inflammation, and a low GI, which helps stabilise blood sugar levels.
Beetroot
Beetroot is possibly one of the only foods to genuinely earn the ‘superfood’ label. It is brimming with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre. It improves muscle performance and endurance, promotes digestive health, and repairs damaged cells and promotes new cell growth in the gastrointestinal tract.
It is the synergistic combination of whole foods and active ingredients in Gut Performance™ that enhance and support your gut. The team at Every Body Every Day® – the makers of Gut Performance™- all believe it’s essential to nurture our health to live a happy, healthy and vibrant life.
