We absolutely love the refreshing fruity taste of this smoothie from @luxebodycontouring. It’s a vitamin-packed, delicious drink that’s perfect as a quick breakfast or post-workout snack.
What we love about it most…
Blueberries are a fantastic source of vitamin C and have many health benefits due in large part to the flavonoid called Anthocyanin, responsible for making them blue. Raspberries are another great source of Vitamin C and have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. Both Blueberries and Raspberries contain a high amount of powerful antioxidants which help the body fight oxidative damage from free radicals.
Greek yoghurt is packed with probiotics – microoganisms such as bacteria and yeast which help keep you healthy. Greek yoghurt also adds protein to this delicious smoothie, keeping you fuller for longer and is a source of Vitamin B12.
Coconut milk is a high-calorie food, most of which stemming from it’s high fat content. It also contains a large number of vitamins and minerals such as Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Copper, Manganese and Selenium.
While many of us add honey to smoothies for a bit of natural sweetness, high quality honey does contain many important antioxidants.
Not only is this smoothie packed with good stuff, it’s also tastes delicious and has a a pretty pink colour! What more could you want?!
